Good morning everyone. Breezy Hill Water & Sewer employees are performing our annual fire hydrant flushing that is required by the South Carolina Department of Environmental Services. We are expecting them to enter into Lakes & Streams at some point today and continue throughout this week.
During this time you may experience discolored water that should clear up with no issues. However, if it last throughout the day and does not clear up by 3:00, please give our office a call.
You may see an employee at a fire hydrant with large amounts of water coming out of it, but that is normal. You may also see some hydrants left running at a lower flow rate with no one at it, but that is to help clear the remaining discolored water up.
It is also a good idea to avoid washing clothes today so that the discolored water doesn’t get pulled into your washing machine. If you do experience discolored water, continue to run your cold water side only for a few minutes to see if it clears up. If not, then feel free to give us a call.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out to our office at 803-663-6455 and choose option 2.
Thanks, and have a great day!
